Dear Parents, A couple of weeks ago, an email was sent to all parent email addresses on file about our district taking part in the Missouri School Climate and Culture Survey. Results from this survey will be used as part of the school improvement review during the 2023-2024 academic year. As part of this process, parents, students, and school employees are asked to voluntarily answer surveys regarding programs and services available to students. Please take a few minutes to answer the survey at the link provided. Responses from all parents will be anonymously summarized and will become part of a report for the school district. The school district will use this report in the development of school improvement efforts. If you have more than one child in school, you will receive more than one survey link. Please complete a survey for each individual child. Do not complete one survey for multiple children. The surveys will be processed so that school officials receive reports about each building in the district. The questionnaires contain demographic and opinion questions. You have the option not to respond to any item or not to complete a survey at all. Click this link for the ELEMENTARY PARENT survey: https://missouri.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eWDBrKoAtMm1TvM?RID=CGC_yRYBK0Vu1tutlzE&Q_CHL=email?ExternalDataReference=0771014020 Click this link for the MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL PARENT survey: https://missouri.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eWDBrKoAtMm1TvM?RID=CGC_dibH8bh1wyWHCIP&Q_CHL=email?ExternalDataReference=0771011050. If you haven't had a chance to fill that out, we would appreciate it if you could take a minute and give us your thoughts. Thank you!

We are so happy to announce that beginning next week, Tuesday, October 24, our bus routes will go back to the same as last year! The office will be contacting the students who were previously on Mr. David's bus to remind you of pick up times. If you were previously (last year) on any other route, your pick up time will go back to the same as last year. Thank you for your patience as we make this transition back to a fully staffed bus driver plan.

A few of my favorite things about working in public education: 1. The sound of kids playing on the playground. 2. Even through the years of growing pains, "going to school" with someone creates a shared sense of belonging and community. 3. Watching the preschool and kindergarteners grow from the first day of school and witnessing how they make friends, learn social norms and begin the journey of navigating life. 4. Watching how middle school kids' lives change between every class period. 5. Watching teachers invest time, effort, and even their own money on students because they care and want these kids to have every advantage in life. 6. Watching a kid feel a sense of accomplishment after conquering something that has been a challenge for him/her! 7. Watching graduates on graduation night! Thank you for the privilege of educating your kids. Your trust is not taken for granted.

The baseball game scheduled for this Thursday has been moved to tonight October 3rd at 4:30. Kosh has had to reschedule and the weather forecast for Thursday is calling for rain. As this game is the last scheduled for the season, we are playing tonight instead. Thank you for your understanding.
