8th grade students braved the cold today and put our lesson on indirect measurement into practice to find heights of various objects around the playground that we couldn't easily measure. These included tall trees, buildings, metal slides, and basketball goals.

Pre-Algebra students are making scale drawings of classroom floor plans. To accomplish this, they have sharpened their measuring skills and learned how to convert units as well as multiply by scale factors using proportions.

The deadline to submit Homecoming T-shirt order forms has been extended to Wednesday, January 23rd. The order form may be printed from the Bakersfield R-IV Facebook picture or you may have your student pick one up at school from Mrs. Sanders.
