Out with the old and in with the new! In order to make room for some new books, the library has pulled quite a few older titles off the shelves. Community members are welcome to come take a look, and take home some books! The library will be open Tuesday, January 4-Friday, January 7 from 3:45-6pm. Books are FREE, but donations are welcome!

Message for parents from the nurse: There are still students who require immunizations to be up to date with Missouri immunization requirements. Letters were sent out in November to all students who needed an immunization to be up to date. If you received a letter and have not gotten the required immunization, please do so by January 4th when we return to school. Appointments can be made at the Ozark County Health Department by calling 417-679-3334. Bakersfield R-IV School District is excited to announce we have been selected to participate in the state’s Missouri Post Secondary Advising Initiative, which will place trained advisors into high schools, alongside school counselors, to provide students with individualized college and career support. Bakersfield R-IV is among 40 schools statewide selected to participate in 2021-2022. We will be partnering with another selected school to provide a Part-Time Advisor in Bakersfield High School. This grant is for a three year period.
