The Bakersfield R-IV School District has an opening for an elementary secretary. The position is an 11 month position. Office experience is preferred, Microsoft Office experience required. The successful candidate must be proficient at typing, a quick learner, meticulous in written communications, positive, flexible and a team player. Fall pictures will be taken this Friday, October 2. Virtual students may come between 7:00-7:30 AM to have pictures taken. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate students who are not enrolled. We anticipate allowing younger siblings (who are not in school) to be photographed in the spring.

Schools BACK IN SESSION!! Bakersfield R-IV will be back in session starting on Tuesday, Sept. 29th!! We have worked hard to make sure that the buildings, and buses are clean and sanitized so everyone can return to a safe environment. Students need to bring back their chromebooks, flash drives, and all other work on Tuesday. We are excited to have everyone back in live, in person school!!

HughesNet has been doing an emergency update this morning. If you are a HughesNet customer and were unable to get Zoom to load for your classes, the teachers are aware of this issue and will post the videos to Google Classroom for you to watch when the HughesNet update finishes in about an hour.

If you have not gotten a meeting invite, be patient, you will get them before they start. MS/HS will be running the following schedule with our virtual class time. Teachers will hosting zoom meetings Wednesday and will give further information for each class. Students that do not have internet may call into zoom meetings. 1st Hour--8-8:25 3rd Hour-8:30-8:55 4th Hour-9:00-9:25 5th Hour-9:30-9:55 6th Hour-10:00-10:25 7th Hour-10:30-10:55 8th Hour-11:00-11:25. From Noon to 3:30 all teachers will be available to communicate with students for individual help via phone/email/video. If you do not have internet access, all materials/instruction will be on flash drives that you can pick up Friday from 8-3. We will not be cleaning lockers out while we issue chrome books. Parents/students may come by and pick up chrome books from 1-7 today, and 8 am-7pm tomorrow.

Agricultural students and FFA members, given the circumstances we need to pause our fundraising activities for the next two weeks. Please turn in all of your fundraising brochures and money envelopes on Monday when you come pick up your chrome books.
