Immunizations will be required for all incoming 8th graders and Seniors before the start of the 2023-24 school year.
8th Graders are required to have the Tdap and the first meningococcal vaccine and Seniors are required to have the second meningococcal vaccine.
Please do not wait until the last minute to get these required vaccinations. Christmas break is a great time to get this done!!

Girls high school basketball on Monday December 5th at Thayer with JV game followed by V. Boys play Tuesday December 6th in the Mansfield tournament vs Mansfield at 7:45. Go Lions!
The 2022 music Christmas concert will take place on Friday. December 9th at 6 pm. We will perform on the playground by the tree on the north side. Please join us in helping to celebrate the holiday season. Afterwards, all students are invited to the cafeteria for hot chocolate and cookies.
Bakersfield FFA is selling poinsettias Tuesday-Friday starting Dec. 6th - 20th in the High School office and Greenhouse from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. We have multiple red and white varieties available. Misty Perry, Bakersfield R-IV RootEd advisor, and Trudy Summers, Bakersfield R-IV Counselor hosted a career day for Bakersfield 8th-12th graders on Thursday, November 17th. Eighteen career paths were presented to the students with students learning about educational requirements, work environments, and physical, technical, and educational preparations that would be needed for their careers.

Middle School and High School lock-in will be this Friday night! Kids can play basketball, volleyball and board games. Students are welcome to bring their tv’s and video games. Food will be available and concession stand will be open. Please pick your child up by midnight. Cost is $20.00 and all proceeds will go to Honor Society scholarships. Thank you for your support!

We have several unclaimed coats and hoodies that belong to students. We would love to see these items returned to the rightful owners. If you see anything that belongs to your children, please comment and we will work to get them returned.
Bakersfield FBLA will be going to Cabool High School for the District 14 Fall Meeting on Tuesday, November 15th. Members need to confirm with Mr. Sewell that they are coming. They will also need to bring money for food that day.
