
Bakersfield Lions take on Iberia in the State Sectionals Monday at 5 PM at Bakersfield Pride Park! Go Lions! Since school is not in session Monday, there will be a pep rally tomorrow, Friday, May 17, at 1 PM in the Jerry Taylor Gymnasium!

District Baseball Championship t-shirts are for sale! Limited availability. The first batch will be available to pick up at 3:30 on Monday at Bakersfield Pride Park Baseball complex. They will continue to be delivered as they are printed by game time. Youth Small-Adult XL $20. Adult 2XL $25. Please turn in order forms with money or check payable to Bakersfield School at any school office (Elementary, High School or Superintendent's Office) by Friday at 3:00 PM!

Mansfield VS. Cabool Noon
Gainesville VS. Bakersfield 2PM
Championship at 4PM.

The Baseball game for today has been postponed again due to weather. Games will be played Wednesday. Updates will be posted here as soon as they are available.

The baseball game for tonight is tentatively on hold. Mansfield has had rain. As soon as we hear back, we will update the information.

The second round of district baseball was rained out. It has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 5 in Mansfield. Weather updates will be posted if any changes are made.

Due to weather, there has been a change in district baseball play tonight. The second round of district baseball will be tonight AT Gainesville. Bakersfield Lions will take on the Gainesville Bulldogs tonight AT the new Gainesville baseball fields (across from Gainesville High School) at 5 PM. The time is the same, the place has changed.

I think it's safe to say that Project Grad was a success! Salsas for dinner. (Only order a "double" if you need leftovers for a week!) Then to Sharp Edges Axe Throwing where the kids (and chaperones) had a blast! Congratulations, Class of 2024! 🎓









Due to weather concerns we are moving the Kindergarten program that was scheduled for the park on tomorrow May 8th, to the FEMA Building on campus. It will still be held at 2:00PM. T-Shirts will be provided for each student to wear during the program so please plan accordingly. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Seniors and Parents. A friendly reminder... Decision Day Friday, May 3, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Park Pavilion for food, games, and prizes. Help us enjoy the seniors' last day of high school. Seniors have to arrive at school first hour to be counted for attendance.

FCCLA & FBLA Spring Banquet is on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 at 6PM in the FEMA building! Dinner will be served! Asking members to bring a dessert!


Laundry soap will be delivered and will be ready for
pickup, Friday, May 3 rd ! We will be loading orders at
the elementary building where car riders are picked up.
Please do not come before 4:00, so we can avoid
congestion in the car rider line. If you are unable to
pick your order up after school, please contact Mrs.

The baseball game tonight, Thursday, May 25, has been CANCELLED!

Mrs. Lester's Geometry classes built toothpick bridges. They also held a competition in which they tested the weight held per the weight of the bridge. The greatest ratio was the winner. In the 5th hour class, Alexis Bartlett won 1st place, Yaniel Martes won 2nd place, and Dylan Bonham won 3rd place. In the 8th hour class, Andrew Hoskins won 1st place, Kenadie Nordyke won 2nd place, and Bryce Shrable won 3rd place. Congratulations to all winners!



Last week 8th graders visited Jefferson City. They spoke with Representative Travis Smith and visited the Missouri State Penitentiary!
