Baxter Health Welcomes Sally Hambelton, APRN, to the Baxter Health School-Based Clinic
August 6, 2024 – Baxter Health is pleased to welcome Sally Hambelton, APRN, to the newly-opened Baxter Health School-Based Clinic, serving the students and staff of Gainesville and Bakersfield school districts in Missouri. With a commitment to enhancing the quality of healthcare in our community, Baxter Health is excited to partner with these school districts to bring high-quality medical care closer to home.
Beginning this month, Sally will be providing her expertise and compassionate care on a rotating
schedule. She will be available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in Gainesville and on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Bakersfield. George Lawrence, MD, will be collaborating as the supervising physician, ensuring comprehensive medical oversight and support.
Sally is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and brings an extensive background in family medicine to her new role, as she previously practiced at Regional Family Medicine in Mountain Home.
She holds an undergraduate degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, and Southwest Baptist University, also in Springfield. She then furthered her education by obtaining a master’s degree in nursing from Graceland University.
Born in Springfield and raised in Gainesville, Missouri, Sally has deep-rooted connections to the community she serves. She resides in Gainesville with her husband of fifteen years and their three children. Outside of caring for her patients, Sally is an active member of her church, where she teaches children's church. Her love for music is evident as she enjoys singing and playing the piano.
“We are very excited to bring high-quality care to the students in Bakersfield and Gainesville, Missouri,” said Brian Barnett, VP of Physician Enterprise/Business Development at Baxter Health. “Sally brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in family medicine, and I have no doubt that she will do an amazing job at caring for her students and staff members.”
